- 2009-10-19: World Championship Match Anand-Topalov; Letter from Mr. Boyko Borissov : 'Unfortunately, attributable to the technical reasons, we [Organizing Committee WCC match Topalov - Anand] cannot present the bank guarantee for the organization of WCC match Topalov - Anand in April 2010. However, I kindly request that this letter be treated as an official guarantee for our presentation for the bid.'
- 2009-12-16: World Championship match Anand - Topalov: contract signed in Sofia; 'The prize fund for the match between World Champion Vishy Anand and Challenger Veselin Topalov is 2 million euros and the dates are 23 April (1st round) to 12 May 2010 (possible tiebreaks).'
